It is a really great news that Gmail now provides complete support for Email, Calendar and Contacts sync and you also get the Email Push Support via Mail For Exchange, very nice application to Nokia X6 and Nokia C6. Gmail happens to be the only public free email service provider to be supporting Mail For Exchange from Nokia. Mail For Exchange is an application that lets you sync your email account running on Microsoft’s Exchange Server. Earlier, Mail For Exchange for a phone user only made sense if he/she had a paid exchange server based email service or used his/her office email account.
I have used a exchange server based account on Mail For Exchange and using Gmail on it had the same data efficiency and performance. Now some people would ask why would one use the Mail For Exchange instead of the inbuilt email facility. To answer this, i would just say that with Mail For Exchange, you have more control on the way you want the mails to be delivered on your phone plus you also get the contact and calendar sync. The profile setup is very easy, all you need is the exchange server name as “m.google.com”, username as “xyz@gmail.com” and your gmail password. If you do not have Mail For Exchange, you can get from the Ovi Store.
