Another theme that caught my attention is the Earth theme and again created by X6 addict. It’s fresh and cool in your eyes.
Earth theme’s background is so clear with the help of Nokia X6 screen. It looks like one of those windows wallpaper. The combination of nice clean cut grass, visible planet in the sky and a blue clear sky, it’s just brilliant. The home screen looks better if you use the basic, under home screen theme. It’s nicer to look at if it’s clean and no icons. Speaking of icons, they are significantly big that it’s taking some space from background. I just think it could be a little smaller to they the beauty behind it. Although most of the icons were supported which is kind of nice. The page per screen is very uniformed if icons are of the same color. The keypads are very readable with a nice dark grey color with white color fonts. Nokia X6

Green Floral Theme
I was just browsing through some of the Ovi Store items when i came across these themes. These floral themes have amazing quality and graphics with stunning on screen texture. My phone looks so bright and colorful that it gives me a feeling as if i have a new phone in my hand. The cellphone signal strength and battery level indicators show as delicate leaves which look really beautiful. For Nokia X6
Yellow Floral Theme
The analog clock appears as a burst of red colors which give the phone a stylish feel. The yellow theme has a blend of yellow, light pink and green colors that really suit the overall theme. I really wonder why Nokia did not think of providing a touch based lock/unlock feature in Nokia X6. There are some third party applications though which make it possible to lock/unlock your phone the Iphone way but that is mostly flash based and puts a lot of stress on the already depleted phone resources like RAM and battery.
PocketSensor Automatic Keylock is a nice application to have on your phone. It adds a very simple yet superb capability to your phone. It allows you to cover/swipe your finger over the proximity sensor and lock/unlock your phone. Since, the application does not use the front camera, the RAM and the battery usage is minimal and thus, it is light on the phone’s resources.
For those who are not aware with the term ‘proximity sensor’, it is located just beside your front VGA camera and locks/unlocks your phone when your cover it. The actual functionality of this sensor in Nokia X6 is to switch off the screen when you receive a call and you hold the phone close to your ear. Continue reading »
Nokia Beta Labs has recently launched an application ‘Nokia Diagnostics v1.0‘ for performing diagnostic checks on your mobile phone. This application does not have a lot of significant functionalities as of now but with this prototype Nokia is planning to build a solution for people where in they can troubleshoot their phone all by themselves.
